If you’re looking to get new gutters installed or replace the ones you’ve got, we’d be happy to help.
At OrCal Seamless Rain Gutters, we install seamless rain gutters on homes, shops, garages, and commercial buildings throughout Northern California. We do a lot of work with 6-inch OG K-style seamless gutters, but we also offer 5-inch gutters, different gutter materials, and plenty of color options depending on what works best for your place.
We’re out working in areas like Redding, Yreka, Weed, Mount Shasta, and the surrounding communities. We’re also expanding into Truckee and the Lake Tahoe area, where snow coming off the roof can be just as much of a concern as rain. You can check out our service areas to see more of the communities we cover.
One thing we’ve learned about gutters is that bigger isn’t always better if the water doesn’t have somewhere to go. You can put a nice set of 6-inch gutters on a house, but if there aren’t enough downspouts or the water is draining right next to the foundation, you’re still going to have problems.
That’s why we pay attention to the whole setup. How much roof is draining into the gutters, where the downspouts need to go, and what kind of weather the house deals with. In snow country, we also have to think about what happens when snow starts sliding off the roof.
We’re not here to sell you something you don’t need. We just want to help you get gutters that fit your house, look good, and do their job when the rain starts coming down.
If you’ve got a gutter project in mind, give us a call or reach out for an estimate. We’re happy to talk gutters and help you figure out what makes sense.
We handle new seamless gutter installations, gutter replacement, repairs, cleaning, gutter covers, downspouts, and custom gutter colors.

We install a lot of 6-inch OG K-style seamless gutters. They’re what we specialize in, and for most of the homes we work on, they’re the size we recommend.
When it rains hard, a roof sheds a lot of water. Six-inch gutters give that water more room to move, especially on bigger roofs or where several roof sections drain into one spot. They’re also helpful when snow starts melting off the roof.
Up around Mount Shasta, Weed, Truckee, and Tahoe, we have to think about more than water. We look at how the gutters attach to the house, how closely the hangers need to be spaced, and whether snow brakes are needed. A bigger gutter alone won’t stop a sheet of snow from tearing it off the roof.
We still offer 5-inch gutters, and they can work fine on smaller roofs. But if you’re putting up new gutters, we’d usually recommend going with 6-inch. We’ll look at your house and explain what makes sense before you decide.

Most of the seamless gutters we install are aluminum, but we also offer steel and copper. Each material has its advantages, and a lot of it comes down to the building, the look you’re going for, and how much you want to spend.
Aluminum is our go-to material for most homes. It’s lightweight, doesn’t rust like steel, and comes in plenty of colors.
It also works really well for seamless gutters because we can form long sections to fit the house without having a bunch of seams along the roofline.
For most homeowners, aluminum is a good choice that looks nice without getting too expensive.
If you’re trying to match the gutters to your siding, trim, or roof, you can also check out our custom gutter color options.
Steel is another option, especially when you’re looking for a heavier, stronger material.
It does weigh more than aluminum, and the protective finish is important because steel can rust if the coating gets damaged.
Depending on the building and what you’re trying to accomplish, steel might be worth considering.
Copper gutters are something you don’t see on every house, but they sure look good when they’re done right.
They start out with that bright copper appearance and gradually change color as they weather. Some homeowners really like the natural patina that develops over time.
Copper costs more than aluminum, but it’s a good option if you want that particular look and are planning to keep the gutters for a long time.
If you’re trying to decide between materials, we’re happy to go over the options with you. You can also read more about the gutter materials we offer.
One thing about working around Northern California is that the weather can be completely different depending on where you’re at.
A house in Redding might deal mostly with heavy rain, while a place up around Mount Shasta can get a good amount of snow sitting on the roof. Head over toward Truckee and Tahoe, and snow becomes an even bigger part of the conversation.
That’s why we don’t look at every gutter job the same way.
Around Redding, Shasta Lake, Palo Cedro, and the surrounding areas, a lot of the gutter problems we see come down to water not getting off the roof and away from the house fast enough.
When we get a heavy rain, water can come off a roof in a hurry.
If the gutters are too small, don’t have enough slope, or don’t have enough downspouts, you’ll usually notice water spilling over somewhere.
Sometimes the problem isn’t even the gutter itself. It might be where the downspout is dumping the water.
If all that water ends up right next to the foundation, you’ve just moved the problem from the roof to the ground.
We like to think about where the water is going after it leaves the gutter, not just how to catch it.
If your current gutters can’t keep up when it rains, we can help you figure out whether a gutter repair will take care of it or whether replacing the gutters makes more sense.
Once you get up around Mount Shasta, Weed, and some of the higher elevations, snow becomes something you’ve really got to think about.
Rain gutters are made to move water. They’re not designed to catch a whole roof full of snow sliding off at once.
That’s especially true on metal roofs.
Snow can build up for days or weeks, then start sliding when the weather warms up. When a large section lets go, it can bend gutters, damage hangers, or pull the whole gutter away from the fascia.
We’ve got to consider how that snow is going to move before deciding how the gutters should be installed.
Sometimes snow brakes or another type of snow retention system are worth looking into. Other times, the roof design calls for a different approach.
The important thing is not ignoring the snow and hoping the gutters will hold up.
Truckee and Lake Tahoe can get some serious snow, and that changes how you need to think about gutters.
A 6-inch gutter might be a good choice for handling rain and snowmelt, but the size of the gutter isn’t going to stop a big sheet of snow from coming off the roof.
On mountain homes, we pay close attention to the roofing material, roof pitch, fascia, and how the gutters are attached.
Snow brakes can help keep snow from sliding off all at once, but they need to be designed for the roof and the amount of snow the area gets.
And even with snow retention, there’s no guarantee that a gutter system will make it through every winter without damage.
We’d rather be upfront about that than tell somebody their gutters are snowproof.
If you’re working on a mountain home, you can read more about our seamless gutter installation options or contact us to talk about your roof.
Something else people don’t always think about is where the downspouts drain during winter.
A downspout might work perfectly fine in July, but come January, there could be a four-foot snowbank sitting right where the water is supposed to come out.
Then you’ve got melting snow, freezing temperatures, and water that doesn’t have a good place to go.
It’s worth thinking about those things before the gutters go up.
A little planning with the downspout locations can save a lot of headaches later.
We install gutters on all kinds of buildings, not just houses.
That includes cabins, garages, shops, custom homes, new construction, and commercial properties.
A smaller house might only need a few gutter runs and downspouts. A big shop or commercial building can have a lot more roof area dumping water into the system.
Those larger buildings sometimes need bigger gutters, additional downspouts, or a different layout to handle the water.
We look at what the building needs and go from there.
Whether you’re putting gutters on a new home or a commercial building, you can learn more about our gutter installation services.
This is one of those questions where the answer really depends on what’s going on.
If you’ve got one leaking corner or a section that’s come loose, there’s a good chance it can be repaired without replacing everything.
But if the gutters are sagging in several places, leaking all over, or badly bent from snow, you might be better off putting that money toward a new system.
We also run into situations where the gutters themselves aren’t necessarily worn out. They just weren’t set up right in the first place.
Maybe they’re too small for the roof, or there aren’t enough downspouts. Maybe water keeps collecting in one spot because the gutter doesn’t have the right slope.
In those cases, patching a leak isn’t going to solve the bigger problem.
We’d rather figure out what’s actually wrong before recommending that you spend money replacing something.
If you’re dealing with a loose section or a leaking corner, take a look at our rain gutter repair services.
If the whole system is getting worn out, our gutter replacement services page explains more about that option.
Around here, trees can make gutter maintenance a pretty regular chore.
If you’ve got pine trees hanging over the roof, you already know how quickly needles can collect in the gutters. Leaves, little branches, and roof debris can pile up too.
Once the gutters get plugged up, water starts backing up or spilling over the sides.
Sometimes all you need is a good cleaning to get things flowing again.
If you’re tired of climbing a ladder to clear them out, gutter covers might be worth looking into.
They’re not maintenance-free, and we wouldn’t tell you otherwise. But the right covers can help reduce how much debris gets into the gutters.
We also offer gutter cleaning services if your system needs some attention.
We work throughout Shasta and Siskiyou counties, including Redding, Shasta Lake, Palo Cedro, Yreka, Weed, Mount Shasta, Dunsmuir, and the surrounding communities.
We also serve areas like Lakehead, Montague, Grenada, and Hornbrook.
We’re expanding into the Truckee and Lake Tahoe region as well, including Tahoe City, Olympic Valley, Kings Beach, and nearby mountain communities.
There’s a pretty big difference between putting gutters on a house down in Redding and installing them on a cabin up in snow country.
The weather, the roof, and the way water moves around the property all make a difference.
If you’re not sure whether we work in your area, just give us a call. Let us know where you’re located and what you’re looking to have done.

We’re pretty straightforward about gutters.
We like 6-inch OG K-style seamless gutters, and they’re what we specialize in. But that doesn’t mean we’re going to recommend them for every house.
Sometimes a 5-inch system is all you need. Sometimes a larger gutter with a better downspout layout makes more sense.
And sometimes the problem isn’t the gutters at all. It’s where the water is going after it leaves the roof.
We also know that installing gutters in snow country takes some extra thought. A nice-looking gutter isn’t worth much if the first big snow slide tears it off the house.
We want the gutters to look good, but more importantly, we want them to work.
If there’s a simpler way to fix a problem, we’re happy to talk about it. And if something needs replacing, we’ll tell you why.
That’s how we like to do business.
For a lot of homes, we prefer 6-inch gutters because they give water more room to move. They’re especially helpful on larger roofs or in areas that get heavy rain. But 5-inch gutters still work great when they’re properly sized for the house.
We think so. With seamless gutters, you don’t have a bunch of joints running along the roofline where leaks can develop. They also give the house a cleaner look. You still have connections at corners and downspouts, but there are fewer seams overall.
If you’re thinking about getting new gutters, here’s more information about our seamless gutter installation services.
Sometimes, absolutely. If you’ve got a loose section or a leaking corner and the rest of the system is in good shape, a repair may be all that’s needed. It depends on how much damage there is.
If they’re constantly leaking, sagging, pulling away from the house, or badly bent, it may be time to replace them. If water keeps overflowing, we’d also want to check the gutter size, slope, and downspouts before deciding what’s wrong.
Not necessarily. It depends on your roof size, how much water drains into each gutter, and the downspout setup. We install a lot of 6-inch gutters, but we also offer 5-inch systems when they’re a better fit.
There’s no single gutter that works best on every snow-country home. The roof pitch, roofing material, snow movement, and attachment methods all matter. Snow retention may also be needed to help protect the gutters from sliding snow.
If snow sliding off your roof could damage the gutters or create a hazard below, snow brakes are worth considering. The right setup depends on the roof and expected snow loads. They’re helpful, but they don’t eliminate every risk.
It depends on the trees around your house. If you’re surrounded by pines or other trees that drop a lot of debris, you may need to clean them several times a year. Homes without many trees may need less attention. Checking them before the rainy season is always a good idea.
You can learn more about our gutter cleaning services if you’d rather have somebody take care of it.
No. Covers can help keep leaves and pine needles out, but debris can still collect on top of them. It’s still a good idea to check the gutters and downspouts occasionally.
Redding, Mount Shasta, Weed, Yreka, and the surrounding communities are part of our main service area. We’re also expanding into Truckee and the Lake Tahoe region. Give us a call with your location and project details, and we’ll let you know about availability.
If you’re building a new house, replacing old gutters, or just trying to figure out why water keeps spilling over in the same spot, feel free to reach out.
We’re happy to talk about what you’ve got going on and what might work best.
Sometimes it’s a simple fix. Other times, a new gutter system is the better way to go.
Either way, we’d rather help you get it figured out than have you keep dealing with the same problem every time it rains.
